Michael J. Furdock, Esq.
Managing Partner, Furdock & Foglia Law LLP

Michael J. Furdock is the co-founder and managing partner of Furdock & Foglia Law LLP, a high-growth law firm based in St. Petersburg, Florida, built on entrepreneurial grit, elite strategy, and results. He focuses heavily on helping small business owners unlock hidden financial and tax opportunities—whether through recovery, protection, or strategic positioning.

Born and raised in Scranton, Pennsylvania, Michael grew up in a household of five—with a mother who worked as a nurse, a father who was a small business owner (auto repair shop), two younger brothers, and three dogs. That blue-collar, small business foundation shaped his drive and deep respect for entrepreneurs who bet on themselves.

Michael earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Miami before attending Stetson University College of Law. During law school, he clerked at the well-known Dolman Law Group, where he gained early insight into the business side of running a law firm—and what it takes to scale one successfully.

After passing the bar, Michael took a leap few would dare—launching his own firm from scratch with no capital, no safety net, and nothing but confidence and vision. That bet on himself paid off. In under two years, he scaled the firm into a seven-figure operation—an achievement rarely seen in the legal industry without years of experience or outside financial support.

Today, with his best friend and law school classmate Michael Foglia as partner, the firm has evolved into Furdock & Foglia Law LLP—a forward-thinking boutique practice with a national footprint.

Michael has carved out a niche as a leading expert in the Employee Retention Credit (ERC), helping small business owners file claims and recover over $100 million in tax credits. While the window to file new ERC claims has closed, Michael continues to handle complex matters including ERC refund litigation against the IRS, appealing disallowed claims, and claims involving Professional Employer Organizations (PEOs).

Beyond direct client representation, Michael built a backend infrastructure division—ERC Tax Law—which operates as a full-service administrative solution for ERC providers. It offers IRS transcript monitoring, billing support, document tracking, and compliance assistance to law firms, CPAs, and consulting firms across the country. Since its launch in late 2024, ERC Tax Law has worked with some of the largest and most established ERC providers in the industry.

Michael is known for his high-level strategic thinking, precision execution, and unwavering loyalty to his clients. A natural competitor, he approaches every case like a chess match—always several steps ahead, always playing to win.

When he’s not running his firm or structuring new ventures, Michael enjoys working out, playing poker, managing his fantasy football teams, watching stand-up comedy, spending time with family and close friends, and deep-diving into conspiracy theories with a critical, analytical lens.

He’s a die-hard fan of both the Dallas Cowboys and the Miami Hurricanes, and lives in downtown St. Petersburg with his dog, Dallas.

Michael V. Foglia, Esq.
Managing Partner, Furdock & Foglia Law LLP

Born and raised in Wayne, New Jersey, Michael Foglia is a partner at Furdock & Foglia, where he represents individuals and businesses in personal injury, consumer protection, and Employee Retention Credit (ERC)-related tax matters. Known for his strategic litigation skills and client-first mindset, Michael draws on his extensive defense background to now advocate for injury victims, defrauded consumers, and business owners—whether seeking ERC-related relief or involved in active recovery efforts.

Michael earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing from Johnson & Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island, graduating cum laude in just three years. During that time, he served as a New Jersey Senate Legislative Aid intern to the late Senator Anthony R. Bucco and as a Judicial Intern in the Chancery/General Equity Division of the New Jersey Superior Court. He was also a member of the Johnson & Wales Men’s Volleyball team and a National Collegiate Athlete Association and Institute for Sports and Social Justice Honoree, an award given to select college student-athletes who have achieved academic and athletic excellence while making significant contributions to their schools and communities. He was later awarded Honorable Mention to the 2010–2020 Johnson & Wales University All-Decade Team.

After completing his undergraduate studies, Michael earned his law degree from Stetson University College of Law, where he developed a passion for civil litigation. He graduated law school at just 23 years old—one of the youngest in his class—a reflection of the strong work ethic and ambition that continues to drive his legal practice today.Michael spent the early years of his career understanding the defense perspective, having represented some of the State of Florida’s and the nation’s largest insurance carriers and their insureds in a wide range of civil matters. He now uses that experience to create a strategic approach that maximizes results for his clients. He represents individuals in personal injury and motor vehicle accident claims, consumers pursuing claims under federal and state law, and small businesses navigating ERC-related tax matters.

While Michael remains profoundly grateful for the opportunities and growth he experienced with his prior colleagues and mentors, he recognized that the time had come to embrace the next chapter in his career by joining forces best friend and law school roommate, Michael Furdock, to build something of their own. Today, they run Furdock & Foglia Law LLP with a shared vision of results-driven advocacy, strategic thinking, and long-term client partnerships.

Outside the office, Michael is a lifelong Dallas Cowboys fan, an avid fantasy football competitor, enjoys working out, and values nothing more than quality time with family and close friends. He lives with his beloved fiancée and soon-to-be wife, Gray, and their two German Shepherds, who keep life active, loyal, and fun.
